You can click here to sign up for a temporary card. Online accounts are valid for 14 days, so be sure to visit one of our library branches to complete your application in person and receive your card.

Requirements

Applicants must present valid State of WV issued photo identification or Government-issued Military ID and fill out and sign a library application in person or through the MCPLS website. Parents or legal guardians must present ID for children under 18. If address on photo ID is not current or not included on card we require current address verification from one of the following:

• Current utility bill (past 60 days)
• Valid vehicle registration
• Pay stub with printed address
• Current Medicaid card with address
• Bank statement with address
• Court issued documents
• School transcript
• Mortgage paperwork, lease, rent receipt, or property deed
